Anoka County Economic Development
"It's an overnight success story, decades in the making
and featuring perseverance, enduring characters and just a little
bit of luck.... Suddenly, communities across the northern edge of
the metro area are becoming home to some of the region's most
daring and forward-looking projects, involving investments
running into the billions of dollars and headlines that have
catapulted Anoka County into the metro consciousness. It's no fluke
that so many major developments are popping up to the north. Anoka
County is close the core cities, but has plenty of open space,
usually at reasonable prices compared to other parts of the region.
Taxes are low, business incentives high.... Civic and
business leaders have toiled for decades to set this stage."

destination spot at last," Star Tribune, Sunday, March 6, 2005,
