MN Workforce Center

Businesses are important to the WorkForce Center and it provides a variety of business services. Most services are free and provide benefits to business owners, managers, personnel managers and operational level staff. Popular services include:

  • advertising job openings to thousands of jobseekers for no fee,

  • providing recruiting opportunities as "Business of the Day,"

  • holding business seminars and recruitment workshops, and

  • providing on-site facilities to interview job applicants.

  

Anoka County Community Development

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program can be used to assist in economic development activities.  Eligible activities include construction, reconstruction, loans to for-profit companies and expansion activities.  Currently the Blaine Area Development Company and the Ham Lake Development Company participate in economic development efforts with the CDBG program.
