Commissioner Jim Kordiak Named Vice Chair of County Board
 Anoka
County Commissioner Jim Kordiak was named vice chair at the county
board’s organizational meeting January 8, 2008. In addition, Kordiak
was appointed chair of the Management, Information Services, Waste
Management and Energy, and Benefits and Compensation Committees, and
vice chair of the Human Services Committee.
Kordiak also was appointed the Library Board Liaison and will serve
on the county’s Parks and Recreation, Public Safety, Internal Audit,
and Joint Dispute Resolution Committees, the Board of Oversight of
Court-Appointed Attorneys, and the Joint Law Enforcement Council. In
addition, he will serve as facilitator for the Solid Waste Abatement
Advisory Task Force and the Waste Haulers Roundtable Group. Kordiak
also was named to several metro committees including the Metro GIS
Policy Board, Minnesota Association of Urban Counties, Solid Waste
Management Coordinating Board, and the Metropolitan Library Service
Agency/MetroNet.
