About Family Child Care Licensing

The role of the Family Child Care Licensing Unit is to make sure that Anoka County children under care in licensed child care homes receive safe, adequate care. The unit is responsible for licensing and monitoring family child care providers within the county according to Minnesota law.

Licensed family child care providers in Anoka County serve an estimated 10,000 children.
