FAQs - Manufactured HomesQ1. Who do I contact about ownership change, valuation concerns and or occupancy status on a mobile home? Anoka County Assessment Services at proptax@co.anoka.mn.us or 763-323-5475. Q2. Who is responsible for notifying the Assessor when an ownership change takes place? The owner/seller of the manufactured home is responsible for notifying the Assessor of the change. If the manufactured home is receiving homestead exemption, the owner is required to notify the Assessor within 30 days of an occupancy change. Q3. Who do I contact about move letters, tax certification letters or general tax inquiries? Anoka County Property Records and Taxation Division at proptax@co.anoka.mn.us or 763-323-5400 Q4. Who do I contact if I have questions regarding Certificates of Title? State of Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles at motor.vehicles@state.mn.us or 651-296-6911. Q5. Who do I contact about delinquent taxes on a manufactured home? Helen at the Anoka County Finance and Central Services Division at 763-323-5349. Q6. When are taxes due on a manufactured home? The first half is due on August 31st and the second half is due on November 15th. If the total tax due is less than $50.00, then the full amount is due on August 31st. Q7. Who is the responsible party for taxes on manufactured homes? The legal owner of record of the home as of January 2nd of the year the taxes are levied is the responsible party. Q8. What year am I being taxed for on my manufactured home? Taxes on manufactured homes are a current year tax, meaning the taxes are levied against the current year taxable value (vs. real estate on which taxes are levied against the prior year taxable value.) page last updated -
